The following terms and conditions ("Terms") govern all use of SpareCores.com (herein referred to as the "Website") and all content, services and products (hereinafter: "Services") available at or through the Website.

The Website and Services are owned and operated by Upshift R Kft. (registered seat: 2086 Tinnye, Ady Endre str. 18. tax number: 25597880-2-13 hereinafter: "Upshift").

Description of Service

The Website provides comprehensive and standardized information about the pricing and other conditions (such as performance evaluations, available computer resources etc.) of different public cloud and server providers, collected and curated by Upshift.

Registration

All users can access the server and pricing information without creating an account.

For better browsing experience, users can register at the website to permanently set their Website preferences (e.g. the currency used for server prices), create list(s) of servers for comparison, browse their past server queries etc.

Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords. It is essential that they take appropriate measures to safeguard their login credentials to prevent unauthorized access to their accounts.

Accuracy

The prices and conditions displayed on the Website are indicative and subject to change without notice. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, the Website does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any pricing information provided. The Terms and Conditions may also be amended from time to time, and your continued use of the Website following any such modifications signifies your agreement to the new terms.

User Obligations

Users must use the Services in a lawful manner and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, sharing illegal or harmful content (hate speech, obscenity, defamation), engaging in spamming, and infringing intellectual property rights.

Users are responsible for the content they share. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws. Users can report illegal content through opening a Moderation request on GitHub, and we will take appropriate action in accordance with our policies.

Transparency Reports

Our moderation activities (including the type of content removed, reason for removal, and the action taken) are transparently tracked in our Moderation request tracker on GitHub.

Notice and Action Mechanisms

Users can report illegal content through opening a Moderation request on GitHub. We will review these reports within one week, and notify the user of the action taken.

Internal Complaint Handling System

Users can submit complaints about content moderation decisions by replying to the related Moderation Request on GitHub. We aim to resolve complaints within a week.

Third Party Services

To provide and optimize our services, the Website uses various technologies and service providers:

  • Hosting: Upshift uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the Website. Due to technical requirements, such as server logs, AWS has access to certain data including your IP address, user agent, and pages visited. Posthog does not use any persistent identifier to track guest visitors, but identifies returning registered users. This data helps us to understand user behavior and enhance our services. It will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Posthog is based in the USA, and complies with the requirements of CCPA, GDPR, and other international privacy frameworks.   • Email newsletters: To improve the reliability of sending automated product update emails to subscribers, Upshift uses SendPulse Inc. SendPulse will retain your IP address, name and affiliation in their log files on their server. This data is retained only for the purposes of delivering the email and providing us with information should there be a problem with the delivery.   • Backups: Upshift uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for backups due to their redundant and flexible data storage options. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and stored in the EU region.
