Amazon Web Services c6i.large is an x86_64 compute-optimized instance powered by a dedicated 3.5 GHz Intel Xeon 8375C processor. It features 2 vCPUs (1 physical core with hyper-threading), 4.0 GB of DDR4 memory, and a baseline network bandwidth of 1 Gbps, with no local storage or GPU. Running on the Nitro hypervisor, the instance supports advanced instruction sets such as AVX-512 and AES. Benchmark results indicate average single-core CPU performance and single-threaded compression speeds, but poor multi-core scaling and memory bandwidth. Consequently, the instance presents a tradeoff between dedicated single-core compute capability and limited multi-threaded capacity. It is qualitatively cost-efficient for lightweight, compute-bound tasks but struggles with memory-intensive operations.
