    Server Description

A compute-optimized platform featuring high-frequency Intel Xeon processors, DDR5 memory, and integrated high-speed NVMe local storage for intensive workloads.

    Compute OptimizedStorage & Database

Amazon Web Services c8id.8xlarge is an x86_64 compute-optimized instance powered by a 3.9 GHz Intel Xeon 6975P-C processor with 32 vCPUs and 64.0 GB of DDR5 memory. It features a bundled 1900 GB NVMe SSD local instance store and a 15 Gbps baseline network interface. Operating on the Nitro hypervisor, this instance delivers top-tier Geekbench single-core and image processing performance, alongside strong multi-threaded decompression and cryptographic execution supported by AVX-512 and AMX instruction sets. While its 2.0 GB of memory per core presents a tradeoff for memory-intensive applications, its high compute density and fast local storage offer qualitative cost efficiency for localized data processing. The c8id.8xlarge is suited for workloads such as software compilation, static web serving, database operations, and small-scale LLM inference.

    2.78Score
Precomputed compound score for Cache Intensive workloads. A weighted average (geometric mean) of benchmark scores compared to their medians: score = ∏ (x_i / m_i)^(w_i / Σw). The score of 1.0 represents a synthetic baseline server with the median performance of each component benchmark; 0.5 means roughly half the performance; and 2.0 means twice the performance of that reference profile. Component weights: 50% Redis RPS (pipeline=1, SET), 20% Redis RPS (pipeline=16, SET), 10% PassMark Memory Mark (composite), 10% Memory bandwidth (read, 16 MB ~ L3), 10% PassMark single-thread CPU. Rationale for component selection: In-memory key-value store workload, mixing direct Redis performance metrics with memory speed and latency benchmarks, and single-core CPU performance profiles.
