Built on the Nitro hypervisor, it includes 3600 GB of local NVMe SSD storage and 20 Gbps of baseline network bandwidth. Performance benchmarks highlight a clear tradeoff: single-core CPU performance and single-threaded compression are weak, ranking in the bottom 10%, whereas multi-core performance and database operations achieve average ratings. Notably, small-block cached memory bandwidth and cryptographic encryption tests rank in the top 25%. This hardware profile is qualitatively cost-efficient for highly parallelized workloads, making it suitable for multi-threaded database operations, static web serving, and software compilation, while remaining less suited for single-threaded tasks.
