      Amazon Web Services r6g.metal is a bare-metal, memory-optimized server powered by 64 dedicated physical cores of the 64-bit ARMv8 AWS Graviton processor (Neoverse-N1) running at 2.5 GHz. It features 512.0 GB of DDR4 memory, providing a high 8.0 GB per core ratio, alongside a baseline network speed of 25 Gbps. No local storage or GPU hardware is included. Performance benchmarks show strong multi-core processing, high cached memory read bandwidth, and exceptional Redis and static web serving throughput. However, single-core performance and LLM text generation speeds represent clear tradeoffs, scoring in the lower percentiles. Qualitatively, the ARM64 architecture offers excellent resource density and memory capacity relative to its hardware class. This instance is best suited for memory-intensive workloads such as in-memory databases, multi-threaded software compilation, and high-throughput web serving.
