Running on the Nitro hypervisor, it includes 474 GB of local NVMe SSD storage and a 4 Gbps baseline network bandwidth. Performance benchmarks show average results for general compute, software compilation, and web serving, alongside strong memory performance. However, tradeoffs exist, including weak CPU encryption and poor single-threaded bzip3 decompression. The integrated local NVMe SSD storage and balanced memory-to-core ratio provide qualitative cost efficiency for workloads requiring local scratch space.
