Built on the x86_64 architecture with an Intel Xeon processor running at 2.2 GHz, it provides 2 vCPUs mapped to one-eighth of a shared physical core, alongside 1.0 GB of system memory. The instance does not include local storage or GPU resources. Performance benchmarks, including stress-ng and PassMark CPU tests, consistently rank in the bottom 10%, reflecting its resource-constrained nature. Memory bandwidth is also limited, with large block uncached reads reaching 0.1 GB/sec. Qualitatively, the e2-micro is highly cost-efficient for running lightweight, intermittent tasks but presents clear performance tradeoffs under sustained utilization.
